Davies, Michael N. :
Application of Corporate Compliance Programs to Sales Representatives

The presentation outlines the issues of corporate compliance facing companies after the anti-corruption provisions of the ICC and the OECD Convention have come into effect. Suppliers may be committing a criminal offence and can be tried for it if bribes are paid directly or through intermediaries. Strict internal compliance programmes are called for. The risks of using an agent, concrete suggestions for selection, compensation and engagement, and red flags for illegal activity are discussed.

Schneider, Albrecht :
Corporate Compliance - From a South African and African Perspective

Especially in Africa, Business has a vital role to play in helping to close the values gap, to demonstrate moral standards that are a way of life...in short, to become a role model for the younger generation. Unilever's Code of Business Principles, as related to corruption, is introduced. Organisational integrity makes good business sense, as it's a pre-requisite for growth and thus sustainability and success.
